WEBINAR ON RESILIENCE FOR SCIENTISTS

About

Resiliance training 23112023

LIMITED PLACES UP TO 100.

REGISTRATION IS IN TWO STEPS. MAKE SURE TO COMPLETE BOTH STEPS.

The gap between our expectations and reality creates stress, if our expectations aren't  met. Through resilience you can counter stress and overwhelm from a position of strength. Resilience is psychological willpower and the ability to bounce back from adversity. Recent PhD surveys in Nature and publications such as Levecque et al. (2017) demonstrated that science is a high-stress environment. In this workshop we'll discover methods to cope with long-term stress and develop the dynamic quality of resilience.

This course is about creating an understanding of personal resilience and the resilience of others. Participants will learn about dealing with their own stressors and drivers. We will discuss impulses to grow resilience in three different ways – instrumental, cognitive and regenerative. The training will be highly interactive and includes many practical tools to integrate in participants’ work and private lives.

Learning objectives:

  • Build resilience in your private and work environments
  • Get familiar with your own stressors and drives
  • Increase your ability for active listening
  • Prevent stress through effective communication
  • Understand your own resources and strengths

Trainer:

Ben Hartwig, the founder of Neuroblitz, with a background in epigenetics and a career at Max-Planck, discovered a passion for bridging the communication gap between scientists and the public. Recognizing the importance of environment in success, especially in the corporate world, they integrated theater and psychodrama into their training programs. The Neuroblitz Method, developed over a decade, combines scientific research with innovative exercises to improve team dynamics, communication, and overall productivity in various professional settings.
