The Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso aims to support multidisciplinary research in food systems and young talent. In this new edition of the Daniel Carasso Fellowship, the foundation will award three grants for postdoctoral contracts to researchers of any nationality and scientific field -agronomy, biology, health, social sciences, economics…- to carry out their projects at a Spanish university and research centers (public or private non-profit). Each fellowship provides a grant of €160,000 to cover the salary of the awardee and to support research activities over a 24-month period.
What do you need?
- Research experience of 2-7 years post-PhD.
- A research project addressing major challenges in the food system with a multidimensional approach, integrating various dimensions of sustainability.
- A nomination from an established researcher at the university or research center where the project will be carried out.
With this initiative, the Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso seeks an opportunity to attract and consolidate research talent in Spain. This program will contribute to develop young researchers’ careers whose contribution is essential for the transition towards a more sustainable food systems and diets.
